MAINTENANCE Top of Page

Q: Cleaning and maintaining my headphones.
A: To continue enjoying the best possible sound performance from your Atomic Floyd headphones, we recommend that you follow these simple tips:
  • Avoid getting moisture in the nozzle, as this can adversely affect sound quality
  • Avoid striking or dropping the unit - extreme shock can damage the headphones
  • Whenever buildup is observed, clean the nozzles with a cotton bud
  • Clean your sleeves regularly with a mild antiseptic or soapy water
  • Always remove the sleeve from the earphone nozzle before cleaning
  • Wipe down the earphone housing and cable with an antiseptic routinely
  • Stop using the headphones if they are causing you discomfort

TROUBLESHOOTING Top of Page

Q: My headphones aren't as loud as they were before
A: Most likely it is due to wax on the damper inside the nozzle. Even the smallest amount of wax can cause a drastic drop in volume. Please clean the nozzle to ensure it is not clogged. If you recently got moisture in the nozzle due to cleaning or intense exercise, the speaker may cut out in volume until it dries out. Let the headphones sit overnight and see if it changes.
Q: I don't get enough bass from my headphones
A: The reason for poor bass response is a poor fit between the earphone sleeve and the ear canal, which prevents bass frequencies from developing fully. If the sleeve does not completely seal the ear canal, there is little bass. This is usually caused by using a sleeve that is too small for the ear. For the best bass, select the sleeve that can help blocking away noise around the environment. Please try all the included sleeves to find the best one for your ear.
Warning: Do not push the earphone sleeve beyond the ear canal opening.
